Bird removal

Bird removal in Central Florida, on this page, is three introduced birds: rock pigeons, European starlings, and house sparrows. They are the ones outside the migratory-bird law. The job is closing the vent, the chimney, the ledge, or the soffit.

Doves, grackles, swallows, and wrens on the same building are protected. Naming the bird is the first step. A pigeon does not make the bird next to it legal.

Call or text. Tell us which opening they are using. The inspection is free. The price depends on the animal and the opening.

What you notice

This service is pigeons, starlings, or house sparrows on the building. Call when a vent is packed with nesting material, or when the same ledge is white every morning.

  • A stocky gray bird on a ledge, walking, not hopping. That is the usual rock pigeon. A slim dove with a pointed tail is not.
  • A short-tailed dark bird, noisy, nesting in a vent, a sign, or a dryer duct. Sort it from a grackle, which is longer-tailed and protected.
  • A small bird stuffing grass and paper into a gap, material hanging out. The male house sparrow has a gray crown and a black bib. A wren in the same gap is protected.
  • Eggs or nestlings. In Florida these three can nest in any month. We look before a vent is sealed.
  • Food still out: dumpsters, pet bowls, breadcrumbs. A spike job next to a daily feeding fails.

What bird removal covers

The vent

Starlings and sparrows pack a cavity. We screen it after we know what is inside, and after anything that cannot leave has been dealt with.

The ledge

Pigeon droppings under a beam or a sign. Change the perch. Spikes on a wide ledge they can land beside do nothing.

The food

Close the dumpster, bring the pet food in, and stop the feeding. The building stays attractive until that ends.

What stays true on every job

How bird removal works

  1. InspectName the bird. Find the ledge or the cavity. Look for eggs and for a protected bird in the next hole.
  2. RemoveThe birds that can leave, leave. We do not seal nestlings in, and we do not lead with killing.
  3. ExcludeScreen, net, or change the perch. Stop the food.
  4. RepairThe vent and the ledge stay closed, and the net stays tight. The full steps are on the homepage.

Bird removal questions

Which birds can you exclude?

Rock pigeons, European starlings, and house sparrows. Those are the introduced birds outside the migratory-bird law. Doves, grackles, swallows, and wrens on the same building are protected, and they are not this job.

Do you poison pigeons?

No. The work is closing ledges, screening vents, and removing the food. Poison does not close a ledge.

What if there are eggs in the vent?

We look first. These three can nest in any month in Florida. Sealing a vent on live nestlings is not the job, even when the federal bird law does not cover that species.

Will spikes fix a roost?

Spikes belong on the narrow perch they actually use. They do not move a flock out of a tree, and they do nothing on a wide ledge with room to land beside them. Scare devices wear off. The lasting work is the perch, the screen, or the net.

How much does bird removal cost?

The inspection is free. The price depends on the animal and the opening. Call (321) 205-4972 or use the form and we look at the job before anyone names a number.
