Opossum removal

Opossum removal in Central Florida is often an animal passing under a deck or through a garage. We look for a den and for young before we do anything else. We close the opening. No poison, and no promise it cannot carry rabies.

A white face and a bare tail. Slower than a raccoon, and the trash can with the lid off is usually the raccoon. One night at the food bowl is not a colony.

Call or text. Tell us if it is living under the structure or only visiting. The inspection is free. The price depends on the animal and the opening.

What you notice

This service is an opossum living under a deck, a shed, or in a garage, or using a hole into the attic. A single night at a food bowl is a visitor.

  • A slow animal at night, white face, black ears, a long bare tail. A raccoon has a mask and a ringed furry tail.
  • Hissing from under a deck, or an animal that goes still and open-mouthed. That collapse is not death.
  • A low gap under the deck or the shed. If something is living there, the skirt waits until the space is empty.
  • Young in a pouch, or riding on an adult. The plan includes them. We do not print one Florida breeding month.
  • A garage left open. That is an invitation. Pet food indoors and a shut door end a lot of these calls.

What opossum removal covers

Under the deck

A den, not a passerby. The skirt goes on after the animal and any young are out.

The garage

A door left up. Close it, and take the food in. That is often the whole job.

A hole upstairs

If one used an opening into the attic, that hole is closed after the animal is out.

Opossum removal questions

Is an opossum in the yard a problem?

Often it is passing through. A sighting is not a colony. Call when one is living under the deck or the shed, or when it is in the garage and the door is how it got there.

Do you poison opossums?

No. No poison, no bait, and no glue. If one is living under the structure, we close that space after it is empty.

What about baby opossums?

We look for pouch young and for young on the back before we close anything. We do not seal them in.

Can an opossum give someone rabies?

Do not bet on immune. A bite or a scratch goes to a clinician. We do not say they cannot carry rabies.

How much does opossum removal cost?

The inspection is free. The price depends on the animal and the opening. Call (321) 205-4972 or use the form and we look at the job before anyone names a number.
